How this works
This Co-vision Oneness invitation isn’t just about visioning the future of Oneness Family School together, it’s about visioning the present. The ideas that you se`presented on this site represent the culture that the Oneness family would like to be.
Any ideas that have enough group recognition, are aligned with the school’s mission, and can be feasibly implemented in the present and/or future, will begin a development process with your collective support to make it happen.
The Process
The co-visioning process isn’t just about collecting visioning the future, it’s about visioning the present. Any ideas that can be feasibly implemented
in the present, will be seriously considered with your contributions to help make it happen.
This site will be a host for ideas that you submit about your vision for the school. If you’re registered on the website, you’re encouraged to submit an idea on the ideas page.
These are the guidelines that are helpful to know regarding the co-visioning process:
- Participants must be one of the following to participate/register on the website:A past or present student, teacher, parent and/or stakeholder of Oneness Family School.
- All ideas need to be approved before they’re published for public viewing. We need to be sure the image isn’t copyrighted, and the description
is clear and appropriate for public viewing. The feasibility of the idea won’t be a factor at this stage. - We will clarify exactly how many ‘Likes’ an idea must have before it is considered a ‘supported idea’. Once an idea reaches ‘supported’ status,
we will have a review team ensure the idea is both financially feasible and adheres to the mission of the Covision Oneness project. - ‘Supported ideas’ will be presented on a single page where it will be easy to track updates on its implementation in the new school. This is where the larger Oneness community can take a more active role in ensuring its implementation, whether it’s through financial or creative support.
- Collaborate diplomatically, consciously and respectfully with each thers’ best interests in mind. This means ideas will inevitably be implemented that are not supported by every individual. As long as ideas adhere to the principles, financial viability and a majority of support, these should not be grounds for advocating withdrawal of overall support.
The Mutual Agreement
Through a co-visioning program, Oneness Family Schools (OFS) will include students, teachers, parents, alumni and patrons in co-creating a next generation school facility that is responsive to your values, in partnership with your support of OFS in developing such facilities that embody those values.
This agreement serves to:
- Provide predictability in managing expectations each group has of the other, including definition of roles and responsibilities.
- Avoid false expectations in regard to what will eventually be built.
Both parties agree to:
- Use the ‘A Oneness Family School for the 21st Century’ statement as a set of underlying principles for the development.
- Support a realistic implementable plan that is financially feasible, based on objective economic analysis to confirm its fiscal viability. This must satisfy the economic/financial bottom line of OFS and its stakeholders/students.
- Collaborate diplomatically, consciously and respectfully with each others’ best interests in mind. This means ideas will inevitably be
implemented that are not supported by every individual. As long as ideas adhere to the principles, financial viability and a majority of support,
these should not be grounds for advocating withdrawal of overall support. - Work with OFS to develop the most supported, feasible ideas into reality.
The co-visioning community will provide OFS with:
- Support in identifying a community of potential partners, investors and students to assist OFS in implementing the co-visioned ideas.
- Transparent updates of the co-visioning community’s progress at a frequency that supports OFS.
- Outspoken leaders and followers that will campaign and openly support the project, especially at time of need.
The key to the success of this partnership is that both OFS and the co-visioning community realize it is a symbiotic relationship between two entities with mutual interests. We aim to work together as a team, and trust that we will resolve differences enthusiastically and without judgement. The larger the OFS co-visioning community grows, the greater the need to self organize as a cohesive unit to ensure an entirely enjoyable experience for themselves and future generations.
